FACEPLANT SKATE TOUR 2007
We started our FacePlant Skate Tour 2007 during Spring Break because you guys didn't have school. Yesterday, April 3rd, 2007, we kicked off our skate tour by heading to Woodburn Skate Park and then Wilsonville Skate Park. This time around it was me, Jonas, Josh, Wayne, Travis, Michael and Brandon.
WOODBURN SKATE PARK ****
Woodburn has a really good skate park overall. I really like the amount of handrails and small stairs which makes it easier for the less daring skaters (like me). Josh and Michael pretty much ripped up the rails. They have a bowl which is sketchy at best. They have a really smooth hip which made for good flip tricks. Wayne landed his half-cab heel flip. Josh stuck a fakie big-flip. I finally landed my pressure flip after many tries. Michael almost hit a tre-flip and Travis nearly got his nollie kick-flip down. They have a few levels where you can pick up speed, hitting grinds and slides on the hubba. I'm glad we hit Woodburn first. I give it a four star rating.
WILSONVILLE SKATE PARK *
After we skated Woodburn for a while we hit the Wilsonville Skate Park. This isn't really even much of a park. It consists of two quarter pipes, one bigger and one smaller, a ledge, a rail and a pyramid. The problem is they are made out of skate-lite and metal and have super slippery surfaces. If you land a trick a little off you slide out and get hurt. Also there's not much room to skate. We all landed a few tricks and had fun with a game of SKATE which I think Josh won. I wouldn't ever recommend hitting this "park" and give it a one star rating.
