Battle Ground Skate Park ****
On Saturday, June 9, 2007, a big group of Team FacePlant skated the new skate park in Battle Ground for about 1 1/2 hours. We got rained out pretty early on. It was fun while it lasted. Josh, John, Kyle, Boomer, Wayne, Jake, Travis, Jakoda, Dakota, Brandon, Austin, Mick and Ricky all skated it up. They have a good combination of street and vert. There is a pretty long 2 stair but you have to pick up some speed to make it. They are light on skateable handrails. A lot of nice street skating transitions with wedges, kickers, boxes and a fun box with a hubba all made from poured concrete. There is small vert and big vert that can be skated including a huge enclosed full-pipe/bowl thing. Our guys did there best in the rain. I give the park a 4 star rating.

Ridgefield Skate Park **
On Sunday afternoon, June 10, 2007, Josh, Travis, Eric and Jeremy came over to my house to see if I wanted to skate. After skating the gap at church for a bit we decided to go skate Ridgefield Skate Park. It is a park of mostly moveable obstacles. It has a quarter pipe, a pyramid with a hubba, a spine, some boxes and rails. We only skated for about an hour but still had a blast. It is not a very big park and there are no bowls or vert to skate. It is definitely a street skating park. A lot of the ramps have been weathered and beat up. I give the park a 2 star rating.
